What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept all major credit cards, HSA/FSA cards. A valid credit card is securely kept on file and charged at the time of your appointment.
Do you accept insurance?
I am an out-of-network (OON) provider with insurance companies. This means I do not bill insurance. I work with self-paying clients and all payments are due at the time of service. I can provide you with an invoice or Superbill to get reimbursed by your insurance company. I recommend calling your insurance company directly to confirm your out-of-network coverage. Questions to ask are, "What are my mental health benefits", "What is my deductible or what is my out-of-pocket max", and "Do you cover session code 90837?".
By choosing not to accept insurance, we are empowered to prioritize your well being without the constraints of third-party policies, ensuring a more personalized, confidential, and flexible therapeutic experience. This allows us to focus solely on your unique needs, fostering a deeper, client-centered approach to your mental health and emotional well-being.
what if my superbill is not approved?
I recommend speaking with your insurance, and I have found that when there is a deductible that has not been met, insurance will not cover Superbills or services rendered (even if I did take insurance). There are times where billing through insurance can actually be more costly than the service charge, thus I always recommend speaking with your insurance to find out clearly what is covered. Insurance can be very confusing, and I am always happy to help people navigate the system.
I do use Mentaya to help with getting Superbills covered and have had great success; if you are curious about your out of network benefits, I can check through Mentaya and let you know what is covered.
I never want money to be a barrier to treatment and encourage people to discuss their financial concerns with me.
What if I’ve tried therapy before and it wasn’t helpful or I was still experiencing symptoms?
You are not alone! The most important factor for predicting success in therapy is the therapeutic relationship, and that can take time. Trust the process and trust that you will find someone you connect with. I understand that you will not immediately trust me and that is ok.
We all heal differently and at different rates. My treatment is holistic. I see the wholeness of your being and guide you to see what I see. What others see. To sit in the enormity of your being. I am your guide through the pains of life while helping you see and experience the range of all your emotions safely and effectively. I provide assistance through trials, tribulations, trauma, AND successes but ultimately I am teaching you to heal you.
Trust that I will help you give yourself grace; holding your self accountable with compassion as you traveling the healing journey.
I am sure you have heard, “therapy often gets worse before it gets better…” and our work will be no exception. Depth work and facing yourself with compassion is difficult, that is why you do not have to do it alone. I am tall enough for the ride, let’s take it together.
